Mel Gibson says the Devil Made me Do It !

a. Gibson is only trying to save his financial ass.
b. Gibson is about to have another film released. Duh.
c. Gibson never even had to go to court like a normal person. Gibson's no contest charge and slap on the wrist was typical HollyPud Justice.

Common folks that drive drunk - expect to go to jail, expect higher insurance costs, expect to lose their license and even expect to lose their jobs. All this also goes on their Credit Reports. There is NO EXCUSE of any kind for driving drunk. If Mel wants to go to hell, then he should walk there. His demons will be happy to lead the way. A blood alcohol limit of 0.12 means your smashed. If the cops ever catch Mel again, he should lose his license for life, go to jail, and pay huge fines. Americans seem to think it is our "right" to drive. The Right to Drive is NOT covered under the Bill of Right's.

Mell you have a life most people only dream of. I just cannot feel sorry for you. Your statement: "You're indefensible against it if your nature is one of alcoholism." was complete Bullshit. People fight this everyday - your no one special.

Studio 60 - West Wing in Drag

I hated the pilot... but the pilot made the second episode look like damn genius.

The truth of the matter seems to be that Aaron Sorkin is making a show about making an hour long drama and not really about live TV or SNL or anything else. Not surprisingly, Sorkin doesn’t seem to have the slightest grasp of how live TV works. I can forgive stupid details, like all the offices having floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the studio (the green room at SNL does look like that… but it is the only space that does). But the misunderstanding of the writers and the talent is horrible. Looks to me like maybe Sorkin is still on drugs and the West Wing actors are floating in a new show called Studio 60.

Worst of all, his cast of funny people are not funny. And they aren’t non funny in the way some comics are all serious in real life and turn it on for the camera. They are mostly all dramatic actors. When a crisis comes up I see Josh ready to call Leo and grab the president. This is just bad, completely self indulgent TV. It’s more about Sorkin and his supposed genius than it was last week – crap that may win an award for the most actors who came from West Wing.

This is just plain trash TV - Mr Sorkin your 15 minutes are up.
